I have owned one of these for 6 or 7 years. Two large cups a day at least, a morning and an afternoon brew. Nice, even grinds are produced and clearly differentiated grind sizes result among the French press, drip, and espresso settings. The glass container fits snugly under the grinder and has a nice grip for safety around the outside. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made (in a very long lifetime!) in terms of value. There is no sign of this giving out. Works like it did the day I bought it! I have never tried the more expensive models but I can't imagine there could be much improvement except for perhaps the time constraints recommended to protect the motor from overheating. Since I generally brew smaller amounts it has never been a problem.

Not sure what happened to it. Got shipped to me on 8/19/21, and it's already broken. Not the most expensive thing, but pretty sad that it only lasted 4 months. Haven't put any rocks through it, but as soon as it starts to try and grind beans, it bogs down and won't grind anything.

I've had this grinder for a few years and it functions without issue. For the price there is not a better option. One challenge that I did have was getting it fine enough for espresso. This was fixed with a easy part exchange from shapeways.com. The Bodum BIstro burr holder got me a much finer grind at the expense of larger grinds that I never really used. https://www.shapeways.com/product/GB9H9Y8GY/bodum-bistro-burr-holder-0-8mm-finer-grind Used daily for at least 2 double shots and 2 more more time on weekends. If your starting out or just don't want to spend $500 for a higher end unit this the the one.

It's an OK grinder: not as good as our older Cuisinart. Volume of grind is inconsistent. Looks cooler.

Shoots grinds out of glass jar like a leaf blower. Very frustrating that it takes longer to clean up the mess than it does to grind coffee. Claims to be anti-static but it’s more like pro-static. Does it grind coffee, sure. But, is it worth having to clean the entire kitchen after every use, NO. Previous grinders have worked well and without the hassle of extra cleaning.

The Bodum Bistro grinder is a tremendous value. The conical burr give consistent grain size through the spectrum. The glass container is the reason I bought this model. I’ve found that plastic containers get “sanded” by the grounds which means I’ve been drinking plastic. No worries with this grinder, though.

The Bistro grinder looks good on my countertop (I purchased the copper model) and it gives a consistent grind that works well for my cold brew pitcher which doesn’t have a paper filter. I also like the glass catcher b/c the hole in the top of the lid acts like a funnel which makes it easy to dispense the grounds into the narrow filter on my cold brew pitcher without making a mess, though the glass does not seem to prevent static cling very well.

It is awesome. My daughter made espresso Christmas Day and it was fantastic. There truly isn’t anything like freshly ground coffee!

I bought a Bodum Bistro grinder three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then suddenly became very noisy. Bodum sent me a replacement burr, top only. Made no difference in the noise, though it was still doing a decent job grinding coffee. I stopped using it when I found some spare parts for my old Starbucks Barista grinder, which works just fine and is much quieter.

Much needed upgrade from my prior grinder. Stylish look and grinds well for my needs. I primarily grind for French, drip, and pour over. Nice and quiet too and grinds quick so the beans don’t get warm from excessive machine running.

Great grinder that meets my needs perfectly. Highly recommend. I especially like being able to add enough beans for a weeks worth of coffee and just push one button in the morning to get fresh grounds I need for that day.

This is a great machine. Consistent grinds for al sizes and much quieter than other grinders. The glass container is what initially attracted me to this grinder. My old grinder has a plastic container that became sanded by the grounds. Yuk!
