Coffee Bean Corral logo imprinted coffee bags. These are the same bags we use to pack 3 lb. to 25 lb orders (25 pounders get two bags).
The NEW 3 lb bags are made of light cotton canvas with a purse-string closure, while the 5 and 10+ lb bags are burlap: all are the same bags we ship our coffee in.
NOTE: burlap bags sometimes have an odor to them, a petroleum-type smell, but
a) it is NOT the result of any added chemical, rather the natural smell of burlap curing - burlap is organic in nature, from a plant to be exact,
b) the odor does NOT affect the beans inside, and
c) it goes away as the bags are "aired out".
We get them new, and in large boxes. We try to air them out before using them but sometimes we have to use a new box of bags before they are adequately "deodorized". Sorry for the smell but it does not affect your coffee; it's just irritating.
Sizes are approximate:
3 lb size are 8" wide x 10" high - $1.00 each
5 lb size are 10" wide x 12" high - $1.50 each
10++lb size are 12" wide x 24" high - $2.50 each
Buy a B I G bag of coffee and share it with friends by repacking it in coffee's natural container: burlap. They are of good quality and are reusable, so your coffee closet can make you look like a real coffee connosseur.
One customer pointed out the used bags make excellent cloths for fine woodworking.
I also gave a bunch of the small ones to pre-school Sunday schoolers for their crayons and such - they loved them!!
Our cat loves napping on the big bags stuffed with cotton batting. They do NOT make good pillows, however, unless you're into scratching a lot.
