First time roasting my own beans, I am satisfied with the flavor, and price was good. Not the best coffee I have had, but I would buy them again.

Mushyoni: Aroma of cinnamon with a hint of nutmeg thru out roast, brew, and in the cup. Taste of sweet dried red plums, with overtones of cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. well balanced, medium body, I Could drink this one all day. Full city roast. Great coffee for the price of Maxwell house. Maboro: Bright, Sweet berry flavor with cocoa overtones. Heavier body than Mushyoni. well balanced, Full City Roast. an after dinner or desert coffee , too rich and full bodied for a every day drinking coffee. This is one to relax with. Another great coffee.

I‘ve roasted several small batches of both coffees. I actually like the Mabaro better, though both are pretty good, especially roasted in the medium range. I liked the Mabaro best at the end of first crack. Neither are as fruity as most African beans I’ve had, but they do have a nice balanced flavor. Overall an incredible value at the price for the special. And got to me in two days.

Finally roasted some of each last Sunday. Two days of resting for the beans, and I am very pleased! I agree with the other reviews on quality, so no need to duplicate the description from the other articulate reviewers. I've been roasting for 14 years with a RK Drum 4 lb. roaster. I like both of these beans roasted to a Full City (barely, just right to the edge of second crack). Not much moisture/weight loss after roasting (wasn't even thinking about it when I was roasting, but rather than a 20% weight loss, it seems like 10% or less- will calculate it out next roast). I like it so much I ordered two more of these packages this morning. You can't even buy swill coffee at this price! Thank-you!

Coffee is as good as any other brand or origin in my experience. I have roasted 10 to 15 types of coffee from two or three vendors. I like the price, flavor and taste of this Rwanda coffee. I roasted the beans on the Behmor Roaster to the second crack, and the chaff was less than others.

It's hard to argue with the price point. Both coffees roast well; the Mushonyi seems to be a tad more complex. Both coffees make excellent espresso. At 3$/pound, it's great to have such high-quality beans for everyday drinking.

Rwanda Mushyoni Not as much acid or fullness of flavor that I would expect from a Rwanda. Instead, a touch of the Gesha: firm, lasting, but not overpowering elegance.

Certainly at the price point the Mushonyi, as one reviewer wrote “ a good every day drinker”. And it will please a number of my friends as it has more characteristic flavor they are used to. I like it better than Rwandan Womens Co-op, but am still partial to Kenyan AA Makwa and Ethiopean Harrar as far as African coffees go. BTW, I end my roasts just after 1st crack.

It’s really different compared to Central and South American coffees. I use it for blending. Can’t beat the price!

We blend the two Rwanda beans for a very nice cup. We roast just into the 2nd crack.

Both beans cooked up evenly and developed unique characteristics. First batches were city roast and just after the second crack and the results were Overwhelmingly positive from everybody who Received The beans as gifts. Highly recommended
