This is a fully washed Screen 15+, Bourbon varietal coffee from Nduwayezu washing station in Burundi. ETS NDUWAYEZU washing station-GATUKUZA is located in GASHIKANWA District in NGOZI province. The washing station receives cherry from hills with altitudes of 1750-1800m. Nduwayezu washing station is equipped with a McKinnon pulping machine and 600 drying tables. At its arrival at the washing station, matured cherry is selected through water flotation and picking team sorts the cherries in order to keep only cherries of the highest quality. This step is important for a fine processing. The cherry skins are mechanically removed during pulping. After pulping, the sticky parchment goes straight to the fermentation tanks. The day after, the wet parchment will be washed and graded before soaking. The next day, early in the morning, a new picking team sorts the wet parchment to eliminate the parchments with defects. Nduwayezu has already registered 3000 farmers.Cupping Notes: Bright, grape hard candy, peach, grapefruit

FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR CO. MY FATHER IN LAW GREW COFFEE AMONG MANY CROPS SUCH AS VANILLA IN UGANDA. WHILE THERE I ENJOYED BUSIGU AND A PASSION FOR ROASTING MY OWN BEANS FOR MY SELF HERE IN THE STATES. I TRIED BURUNDI A FEW YEARS AGO FROM TRADER JOES BUT THE LB. YOU JUST SENT ME I ROSATED ABOUT A 1/4 LB AT A MEDIUM ROAST AND WOW..THIS IS AWESOME.RICH ,SMOOTH MY FAVORITE SO FAR. THOUGH IT COSTS 7-8 DOLLARS SHIPPING FOR 3 LBS. I BELIEVE YOUR GREEN BEANS ARE FRESH....FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NEVER TRIED THE BURUNDI BEAN I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!
