Ordered both Decaf and Half-Caf. Found out that the Half-Caf is just a mix of decaffeinated and un-decaffeinated green beans. I could have ordered them separately and mixed them myself. The problem is that decaffeinated green beans roast much quicker than the un-decaffeinated green beans. Having them pre-mixed makes much darker decaffeinated beans in the end, and muddies the flavor compared to straight Decaf roasted separately. I think I am going to hand sort the decaffeinated and un-decaffeinated green beans and roast them separately. Otherwise, the beans are great, Very clean, balanced, and sweet. What I expect from Costa Rica grown coffee.

Sorry, not impressed by this coffee. It seems the caffeinated beans and decaf beans roast at different rates, making it impossible to get an even roast. By the time I got to the end of 1C, half the beans were charcoal. The next time I stopped in the middle of 1C, and predictably got sour grassy coffee, but with burnt notes. I got so frustrated I separated the beans and roasted them separately (COVID-19 gives me LOTS of time to do silly things like that, LOL) Roasted separately the regular beans were pretty good, with a sort of minty undertone.
