Hacienda Rio Negro has the distinction of being Costa Rica's first Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee farm. This direct farm coffee comes from the southern region of Costa Rica near the Panama border on this rain forest certified estate. The coffee is also milled and bagged in one of the only RFA certified mills in the world. Rio Negro coffee has a nice velvety body, mild acidity, and flavors of graham cracker and chocolate. This is a delightfully smooth and level coffee that roasts well on the lighter to medium side.
