This bean provides a clean, “normal” cup of coffee. I roasted on an Ikawa Pro100 to 420F and just 1min into first crack. While a typical Colombian would still have very bright acidity, this El Salvador was much more muted. It had a medium body with a very creamy texture even more so as it cools. The dry aroma was nutty and slightly woody, but after it was brewed it smelled of praline and vanilla. Quite pleasant. The coffee is sweet for its altitude which plays off of the rich, nutty flavors to give the impression of pralines or candied walnuts. This is a fantastic option for those that want a clean, pleasant cup of normal coffee. I’d likely go a little darker if you like cream and sugar, but at a medium roast it is great to comfortably sip when one is not in the mood for a more adventuresome coffee. I gave it 5 stars for what it is great at: a wonderful example of a normal coffee. It will not wow you like a blueberry Ethiopian, but it is a great everyday option.

Med roast that was a wonderful cup of coffee....almost what one thinks of when you imagine coffee smell and taste. Wife enjoyed it as a french press and I used for espresso. Yes I would buy it again and go for a bit darker roast. Although it seems to not darken as much as other roasts.

I did a medium dark roast just about a minute after second crack. This coffee is delicious! Creamy body, sweet chocolatey notes, nutty. Everything on the description just came to life in one single great cup, and for the price! Oh my goodness!!! You can’t beat it.

This is my first el salvadoran coffee and I’m impressed. This coffee is beyond 5 star. Loved it. The fruity ness is what I like the most, and the chocolatey notes are strong. I would definitely buy this again. Excellent bean. Great aromas and flavors just before second crack. Yummy.

A medium body, sweet with a slight rustic edge and nutty cocoa notes. Citric like acidity. Not bad but lacked complexity. Roasted to the start of the 2nd crack.

Great bean! Similar profile to Onobeano. Is now included in my regular rotation with Don Enrique and Ono. Took it to a rolling second.
