It's a delicious coffee. The most salient aspect of the bean roasted to a full city level is balance. Arguably, I should have gone a bit lighter, as I think I obscured some of the lighter origin notes. This bean has taught me what a bright acidity tastes like in concert with a full mouthfeel when made with a pour-over. This was the first geisha I had tried. It's clean with little to no astringency.
I also made espresso from the coffee. Very good. A bit too bright, lacking some of the chocolate/nutty aspects that I really enjoy in espresso to achieve classic status, but for those of you who love lighter espressos, this will be a winner. In fairness, I'm comparing it to my standard, the Ferdelance blend from CBC, which everyone MUST try.
Overall, it's great - likely not worth the increased price point for me compared to many of the other outstanding coffees here at CBC, but I'm thrilled I tried it.
