Roasted just into 1st crack in a Gene Cafe. It's good. The beans look really odd, just like in the picture, but they turned out really nice. I would order again.

So Surprising! The green coffee doesn't look like much, for sure! But wow, I was blown away by the taste. Clean was definitely how I'd describe it. Just such a pleasant mellow drinking experience. Just amazing. I went in with lower expectations but got what has to be my favorite coffee so far. Try some out, r
I roasted on a Behmor. I started out hot (P5) and let it get up to around 285 then adjusted to (P4) and let it coast into FC, which was slow and I only heard a few mild cracks. About 2 mins after I boosted the temp up again to get over the 300 mark, I got to about 310, (P5) then I got SC unexpectedly and set to cool 20 seconds after SC began. The Roast took 15+ min. I like to stretch out the time between first and second in general.
Give it a try! I would love to know what others think!! I'm going to order another 3-5lb on my next order.

At first I was curious and optimistic about this coffee, after looking at the beans and smelling it, the proprietary process of treatment is suspicious at best. The beans smell acetic sour, and I assume the carbon treatment was used to mitigate it, and it too left a creasote, burlap aroma. Disappointing.

It roasts up adequately, but this a very funky bag of beans. Off color (dark mottled), off aroma (acetic-sour, creosote carbon, some small/under developed beans.
