Not your ordinary Colombian decaf, this one starts with tasty Santa Isabella beans, then are decaffeinated using a new, chemical-free water process. Better beans, no chemicals; sounds good, yeah?

Balance is a key attribute in a good coffee and the balance in this coffee is surprisingly high for a decaf. That makes it good both as a straight cup of decaf as well as blended with a caffeinated Colombian Supremo for a "half-caf" beverage. Dry chocolate and nutty tones balance well with smooth caramel notes to produce a most enjoyable cup of coffee. Usually, when a coffee goes through the decaffeination process, not only does the caffeine go away, but a good share of the brightness as well. Brightness carries the flavors of the coffee, so as a rule, the brighter the coffee, the more flavorful. Not necessarily BETTER, but more taste. The Brazil Royal Select is one of them. It's a really good decaf, and very true to its origin. Nutty and chocolaty, with a hint of cherry fruitiness. A very nice coffee to unwind with, or anytime for that matter.
