Costa Rica El Quemado Geisha- Geisha Coffee is from a Ethiopian variety that is considered to be from a wild coffee that is very rare and the bush does not produce a large quantity of friut. The taste of the Costa Rica Geisha coffee can be described as a soft and delicate profile with a complex aroma. This Quemado has some strong darker notes to it with a distinctive choclate and toffee aroma with floral notes at the crust of the cup. Ther are delicate orange zest and molasses notes in the cup with the floral notes becoming clearly lavender. Overall, it is not spicy but complex in the mouth because of the unique mouth notes. Overall it is very balanced and light. It is like a coffee flower and rich copper choclate is with almost a Madagascar vanilla. The aroma is deceptively big and belies how bright and tart this coffee is, crisp right off the bat, almost citrus lime in the mouth. Not a long after taste and very clean. Best at a light to light medium roast.
