Wildly varied, but intensely fruity and with a creamy body, Congo coffee beans have attained mythical status in the past due to their difficulty to source. The Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo or Congo for short) is blessed by rich natural resources, but decades of colonization and ensuing civil wars have made the country suffer terribly. However, NGOs and other agencies have stepped in to provide support and structure for the country's coffee farmers which has allowed Congo coffee beans to reach a wider audience in more recent years.
