Description

Clean, Compact and Convenient!

33 Roasts is a one-of-a-kind roasting log that provides an easy way to record the coffee beans you roast in an orderly and professional format. With my coffee roasting notebook, it's easy to keep your notes and coffee roast profiles in one place for posterity, bound in a softcover format that lays flat and wears well. Best of all, it never runs out of batteries!!

33 Roasts is perfect for home roasters and coffee industry professionals alike.

Designed for Professionals, Perfect for Home Roasters
Don't let its compact size (5 x 7 inches) fool you. 33 Roasts is packed with features to help you manage your roasts, including a unique table for logging roasting time and temperature. You can record gas (or "power" for electric roasters) and airflow at key milestones in your roast, as well as bean temperature.

When you've finished, turn that table into a visual roast profile, mapping your bean temp to time, and create a visual plot.

Secret Ingredient
A teeny, tiny amount of real freshly-roasted coffee is added to the ink in each new edition, which is cryptically noted on the back.

Eco-Friendly
33 Roasts is made with 100% recycled papers sourced in the Pacific Northwest. Interior pages are 100% post-consumer recycled content and covers are 85% post-consumer recycled content and 15% recycled content. The booklets are printed using US-grown soy-based inks in sunny Portland, Oregon.

Since nobody has did a review of this before, I will. I usually log all my roasts online but since relocating my roaster to my garage (ventilation issues) I need something that I could keep handy and portable for when I was back at my computer. Although I would of liked this in a 8x11 inch format it work fine as a (5 x 7 ) booklet. The layout is well designed and it captures all the important aspects of a roast. As a home roaster, there are a couple of fields I don’t use but all in all it is worth the price. As always, CBC has quick turnaround on their orders and customer service is excellent. Happy roasting! Dave Cummings

too too small. Need a 8 1/2 x 11 loose leaf size to really make notes

This booklet book covers all the fields I need (and some I don't) and is very compact. My only complaint is how little the Notes section is. My handwriting is pretty small, so it may be frustrating for those who have larger handwriting. That being said it's a wonderful tool and so convenient!

I think this is great for first time roasters, it really provide a good platform to grasp important information. But I actually end up using a standard size notebook during roasting, then transferring the data over after the fact for record keeping. I would pay more for a larger version, possibly with a hardcover.

Not all fields are used and I customize a few for my methods. Great for trying to duplicate roasts especially if you haven't roasted that bean in awhile.

So far we are enjoying the samples of coffee beans that we chose. We are still finding the ones that we prefer the most for our taste!

Set up a spreadsheet in your computer and / or phone. Customize it with fields for the data you want. Set it up right and the notes field will just keep getting taller to accept your notes when you've got substantial details to add. I have one worksheet for the roasting log and another to keep up with my bean supply. I cut and paste my general roast procedure into the notes and then simply edit in the tweaks for each particular roast. Have a formula to take the weight roasted and the finished weight and calculate lost water weight. Cut and past that also.
