I'm prefacing my review with, I've only roasted a few batches..........
I roasted this one, the Highlands, till it was between milk and dark chocolate as a first roast. It's good, in my humble opinion, but not yet great in a medium light roast, but I'm taking it a bit beyond second crack to next time to see....... .

Wow..!
Delicious cup of coffee...!
I’m new to coffee home roasting, though took this blend in between first and second crack when roasting.
The blend is great and compliments all breakfast food.
Looking forward to other blends as the seasons change....!

I've been roasting for many years and Coffee Bean Corral is one of my favorite suppliers. This is my first time roasting the Highlands blend. This blend is now my current favorite and I typically am not a blend guy. I live the balance in the cup. I roasted this light to medium. I prefer the flavor from a lighter roast in general. Love the balance and richness of this blend. I can taste the chocolate notes, the fruit, amazing sweetness and love the fullness.

I'm still a noob at roasting and am just using a hot air popper. I roasted a sample of this blend and it was pretty good. An experienced roaster with better equipment would probably make it outstanding.

I need to preface this by saying I'm relatively new to roasting, so perhaps the fault is mine. However, I roasted two batches of 4oz each at different times in a Fresh Roast SR540, each batch to a nice, even City+ roast. I then brewed several cups at different grind sizes using both a Clever Dripper and Aeropress. At best the cups were pretty bland and blah with no significant distinguishing characteristics. Sadly, I found this coffee to be no better than dozens of other middle-of-the-road coffees.

The Highlands is another great blend ftom Coffee Bean Coral! If more people would get to taste these great coffees, they would not need or want NcDonslds, or any of the other fast good coffees. The fast food companies need to just stick to fast food and let the coffee alone to people that know coffee!
