Top notch decaf, cannot find much else out there that tastes even remotely like a craft caffeinated Ethiopian natural. I wouldn’t call it ‘the same’ per se, but I don’t miss caffeinated coffee when enjoying this. Let it develop and slow down the roast a bit, I pulled this off later than I usually do most Ethiopian naturals (nearing end of first crack) and it was awesome. Highly recommend!

When referring to Light or Dark it is (Light = 1 Cracks and Dark = 2 Crack) and we rated it from 1:10. The Light brew was with 8 Cups of Water and 50 Grams of Coffee and Flavor was hint Chocolate with a rate of 6 and Strength of Coffee Mild.

Roasted to City+ and tried espresso- too smooth for my taste; tried regular coffeemaker- very smooth and mild, def not my favorite, but I can see this being favored by tea drinkers and I would compare this to a barley tea flavor notes.

Very good! I roasted it for my wife and she loves it. I can sneak it in on most of my coffee drinking friends as regular coffee. I roasted it just near beginning of 2C on my FreshRoast 800 with Razzo extension tube. Great coffee.

This is the best decaf bean I have ever tasted. Combined 4 batches of different roasting times and the taste was out of this world. Every spectrum of flavor was drawn from these beans. Just ordered another batch, cannot get enough.

We had to go decaf for different reasons, so we tried the sample packs of decaf from Coffee Corral and found the Sidamo to be the richest flavor. Now, this is pretty much all we serve in our house even to regular coffee drinkers. Being able to roast our own beans makes our decaf the best it can be. Sometimes, I get tempted to try other decafs; we've had the Morning Glory blend. They are good, but not as good as the Sidamo. Some of us here prefer a darker roast. But even if the beans are roasted slightly lighter, it still brews up a rich and tasty Americano. The fact that these beans are also organic and water processed and fair trade keep me preferring Sidamo as our go-to coffee.

Too bitter for our taste. Wouldn't order this again. Roasted in our Gene Cafe roaster.

This coffee is so so good! I have loved all of the coffee I have ordered from here, but this is by far my favorite.

I roast to city+. Very tasty, although not the same as a non-decaf Ethiopian. That said, any person who drinks decaf regularly will love this.

This was the first decaf I've roasted, and I have to point out that although the beans get very dark quickly, even before first crack, you need to be patient and wait for first crack. I noticed how dark the beans were and took them out even though only a few cracks were heard. Don't make my mistake, keep roasting until first crack even if they look very dark. Online I've read that decaf darkens more quickly, so amateurs (like me) should not rely on color.
That being said, this made for an amazing light roast. So many flavors, all very, very nice together. Flower, fruity, but not citrus or overly bright. Roasted only for 6 min. on a high temp, after 36 hours the taste is impressive for not reaching first crack.

On a light roast, it’s still pretty “one night” although a bit brighter on cooking. Don’t taste the typical sweetness of other Ethiopians I’ve loved.

This is my favorite decaf right now. Using it for espresso using Rancilio Sylvia machine. Medium roasting yields lovely floral notes, a bit darker for chocolate. I'm using an old iRoast hot air roaster. Hoping to find a similar roaster for when this one dies.

You wouldn't know this was decaf, except there's no jitters. The taste is exquisite at almost every roast level. Light to medium roasts are flowery and fruit. Darker roasts retain the critters flavors and add chocolate. It's our daily house coffee.
CBC quality and service remain top of the line.

Still my favorite, and I've tried a lot of decafs in my 30 years of roasting. Best if left medium, just after first crack, which is 6 minutes in my 1400w air popper. Ready to go after degassing for 24 hours, a little better after 48. Sweet, fruity, delicious as an after dinner treat with a little cream. Drinkable all day long, it's our house coffee.

Beautiful decaf! Great for making low caf or half caf blends.
