Love the coffee! But only received 1 yirgacheffe out of the 5 samples. I would love to give 5 stars but can’t because there were too many substitutes. I will continue to order beans from you folks For these reasons 1 High Quality Coffees 2 Packaging 3 Prompt Delivery But I would prefer to be back ordered and or notified via email If coffees are temporarily unavailable.

Children, do not attempt to roast coffee inside a building. It will smell of rancid oil for a week. My coffee roaster is low tech, mostly. A stove top popcorn popper sits atop a cast iron platter atop a large burner. The burner was part of the worst idea for cooking turkey. Picture 5 gallons of hot peanut oil that will be thrown away. Instead, it roasts coffee beans. The infrared thermometer reads about 420F for a medium / dark roast. Pouring the roasted beans between two cullenders cools it down and gets the chaff all over the dogs. 1/2 pound is a good size quantity. Each batch takes about 15 minutes.

Still sampling the 5 different varieties of Ethiopian coffee! What I’ve had so far has been excellent! But I’ve already like most Ethiopian coffees ! I give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟rating!

Great. The naturals are the best. Substitutions are fine. Thank you. Great coffees all around.

Hands down best coffee beans come from Ethiopia. All the Yirgacheffe beans "medium" roast, tastes like a delicious coffee fall coating your mouth with miniature coffee bean hugs providing a happy sensation all the way to my tummy. I cannot get enough! I only drink my coffee black! Never Creme or Sugar! If you must MCT oil or coconut sugar! Sample pack was the way to go! Thanks Keith!!

They have all been good. It will be difficult to just choose one or two. If I had to, Ethiopia Longberry Deep Blue Harrar and Ethiopian Misty Valley Yirgacheffe Natural are tops. The UYirgacheffe I did as a medium roast and the Longberry as a dark. Both finished smooth, no bitters and were calling out for me to drink more.

Awesome way to be a first time at home coffee roaster. the 5 different Etheopian sampler was the perfect way to get 5 totally different beans as well as doing nearly five different types of actual roasting. My 1st roast was with the Y;irgaacheffee bean, did a dark roast, and it turned out nearly perfect with a deep rich bold earthy flavor to the palate! this week I did a medium roast with the Koonga coop, and it too roasted to the medium level gave out a awesome rich flavor and is a wonderful contrast to the 1st dark roast beans. Love the actual home roasting over my outdoor grill, it's truly a fun and enjoyable coffee process and completes the full coffee circle of purchasing high quality green unroasted beans, then roasting them all your self, and then grinding and brewing them in different ways (Bunn professional drip, single gold filter pour process, and also the French press). Excellent top quality green unroasted beans from Coffee Corral fast s/h wish s/h was free. that's why I still use Rhoads Roasters out of NY. free fast s/h

Still experimenting with roasting. Roasted both Yirgacheffes to a light medium. Both are really smooth and easy drinking.

I'm learning to roast on a 6.5" Lodge cast iron skillet on medium heat. Higher temperatures smoke. I roast 1-2 cups at a time. Beans expand. I get a surprising amount of material that takes about twice as long to grind. I stir constantly, and roast to past medium. I toss the beans like salad with two little spatulas. Very easy to over do one side if you stop tossing. Have roasted to dark roast. Not bad, but maybe overdone. Most Ethiopans you buy are medium roast. The first 5-10 times were a learning experience, but I have 4 pounds left from a 5 pound sampler. I rub the hot beans through my fingers to knock off chaff, grind warm and drink black. About 15 grams makes a pleasant 11 ounce mug. If you want a big bold dark roast, choose a different country.

My first attempt at roasting. I’m using an air popcorn popper. Bought this pack because it contained Yirgacheffe, which I had been reading about. It did not disappoint. Can’t wait to get others roasted and see what else is out there! Very impressed with Coffee Bean Corral as well. Easy to use. Good info. I look forward to more sample packs!
