Starting at $42.50 / lb
As low as $42.50 / lb

Our Kona Fancy comes from Greenwell Farms. They grow their coffee on 250 acres in the middle of the Kona District where they also operate their own pulping, drying, and milling facilities to assure the highest standards of quality control possible throughout the entire coffee processing line.

This particular type, Kona Fancy, has the minimum screen size of 18 and allows up to 16 imperfections per lb. It has the classic aroma and body of a fine Kona: sweet and chocolatey with fruity undertones. Roast it until it glistens, let it cure...enjoy the cup and appreciate the beauty of the beans. Aloha.

Hawaiian coffee is one of the world’s most sought after coffees. It is cultivated on the slopes of dormant volcano Hualālai and active volcano Mauna Loa in the North and South Kona districts of the Big Island of Hawaii. This unique location presents ideal coffee growing conditions of perfect altitude, rich and volcanic soil, and constant Hawaiian sunshine. The environment additionally provides steady yet gentle rainfall and natural win protection for the coffee plants by the surrounding volcanoes.

Been roasting my own green beans for about 10 years now, tried lots of different origins and always go back to Hawaiian Kona or Maui beans. This particular bean is my favorite. Very mellow, not real acidic, I roast is just before the oils start to come out.... right around 13.5 minutes at 440 degrees F on a Gene Cafe roaster. Beans are on the expensive side, but priced well for Kona beans! To me, they are worth every penny and then some.

Definitely one of my favorites. As some others have stated I find this coffee to be very mellow and smooth which I find appealing. Sometimes I'll mix it a bit with Jamaican Blue or Haitian Blue to add a little more boldness.
