Beautiful flavor from this very well graded coffee. The large beans are so perfect they don't seem real. We are serving this as a pour over at our cafe. We roast slow during the dry to FC and then finish at 435F about 10 seconds into SC. The KPM has a sweet, soft aroma with a hint of honeysuckle and aromatic woody notes. The cup has nice body, a little creamy, and a clean sweet snap to the cup right off the bat. As the cup cools there are hints of vanilla and macademia nut.

From my previous posts on August 10 and August 8 I went ahead and ordered up a full pound. I roasted it up and let it set but unlike the previous cooks this was awful. I did like 6 roasts and they all turned out the same. No idea if the wrong stuff was packaged or what but it was nothing like the previous half-pound sample I tried. Flat and chalky, no flavor at all. I will say ordering etc from this place is good, no issue there.

Maybe I need to develope my tastes a bit since I'm new to roasting and have been a DARK roast drinker forever. It's probably much better than my numb taste buds can offer. It's definitely smooth and mild. I probably ruin it by overroasting it but will keep practicing 👍

Per August 8 post, changing my rating to 5-Stars. WOW this stuff is good. Wish I could ship the other beans back and trade them in for more of this stuff. Smooooth... very smooth. I cook on a grill - so the 480 degrees is the Kamado Grill temp... I put them on at around 425 on a tray and an 'agitator' stick so I can shake them as they cook up... opening and giving a good stir when the temp approaches 485 or so. Just into the second crack about 5-10 seconds and off they come. You get what you pay for in this world... pay a little more and enjoy.

Roasted beans over open campfire using a vintage wire mesh screen popcorn popper. Used maple hardwood for flames and coals. Each batch contained 1/4 - 1/3 cup of green beans.
Easy to roast. Easy separation between roasts and cracks.
Little chaff.
Medium roast (after first crack - before second crack) has slight to modest oil sheen. Dark chocolate color. Great aroma.
Dark roast (after second crack) dark chocolate to black color with oil sheen) not overly oily. Great aroma.
Just slightly harder to separate roasts and stages than Kona Extra Fancy. Kona Peaberry the simplest to roast and separate the stages.
While pouring roasted beans out of 1 qt mason jar into 4 oz mason jars, the aroma overtook camp and I barely resisted preparing some for consumption.
A six bean sampler (4 oz mason jars each) of Kona Peaberry, Kona Extra Fancy, Kona Purple Mtn, Bali Kintamani, Haitian Blue, and Ethiopian Misty Valley will be given to special friends for Christmas. I expect this one to rate very well.

Bright and rich with fruity taste but with only very mild acidity! With prominent dark chocolate sweet taste. Great rich and smooth body! Sweet and chocolaty aftertaste. Great coffee.

The whole experience was excellent, ordering was smooth and easy, and delivery was punctual!
I had experienced both local and international delivery and both were accurate and as expected.
the coffee is aromatic, fresh and quality.

This has a smooth, reserved flavor that is truly elegant at a lighter roast. As a modest element of a blend at a darker roast, it lends an overall smoothness to the blend that beats most off the shelf gourmet blends anywhere - and a seemingly rare bird as organic. This will be a regular element from now on.

I lightly roasted mine and it was good. i don't know about $30 a pound good, but it is good. My first time trying it though, so maybe i'll try it again sometime with a darker roast.

Using a Freshroast SR800 with extension tube, I roast this KPM to Full City for about 10.5 minutes at a specific profile. 3 days cure is not nearly enough for this exotic bean. Didn’t like it at all at 3 days. I agree fully with the statement above “Let it Cure”.
Let it cure 7-10 days and you’ll be rewarded.

This is my third order of this coffee. Absolutely love Kona, especially when my husband roasts it. Beautiful rich taste. Smooth body.

I order this coffee recently from coffee bean corral and i did not roast till now but i will write my feedback about this coffee because i bought in 2017 from other retailer and since that time i was searching for it till i find it available here.
this coffee beans a niche beans in world of coffee like Roja dove perfume in world of perfume. amazing flavor as black coffee using chemex . sometimes i am preparing it as single origin and sometimes as blend with low acidic coffee. the most important thing is to roast it with professional coffee roaster i am using gene cafe roaster machine and roast it to medium dark.
roast your coffee and enjoy the cup.

Yes this is a smooth sophisticated coffee and very true to the description provided. It is amongst the better ones that I have roasted and I would drink this on a regular basis but for the cost. I think that there is better value to be found and will continue searching for that elusive 10/10. Would I recommend buying this coffee.... definitely but you may need to discuss with your bank manager if you are roasting it on a regular basis.

Absolutely fantastic! This was my first ever order from this company. Coffee arrived sooner than I expected. I roasted the coffee in small batches. I made a medium roast. The taste is beyond amazing. Love it! I will definitely order more.

Review will probably change to Love it. Just roasted up a small batch couldn't resist ground some up and poured over right off the grill. Smoooooth is all I can say and after I let it set-up for a day or two I can only imagine it will get even better. I took it just into the second crack at around 480 degrees.
Chaf shed early and complete and blew away nicely.

This coffee is wonderful. It taste just like the coffee we had when we were in Hawaii. Every sip transports us back there. It is smooth yet good and oh so flavorful. I highly recommend it.

I do like this coffee. It has a distinctive taste that is very smooth. I did a medium roast with it and will experiment more with other roasts. These beans roast nice and even, they shed their chaff early and completely. I like everything about these beans except the price. By the way, thank you Coffee Bean Coral for making buying coffee beans so easy.

In all fairness, I can't really give an accurate assessment of the coffee. I am totally new to roasting my coffee beans and Kona just so happened to be my first attempt at it. I tried roasting them in an air fryer and I didn't roast them long enough nor did I let them sit for at least 24 hours to let the gasses out. Needless to say, the coffee was very weak, I like a dark roasted coffee and the taste was as I suppose not would it would have been if I had performed my duties properly. Anyone reading this, please don't discount trying this coffee based on my account. I only purchased a sample pack so I will in the future try this coffee again.
