I'm not a qualified coffee taster; my taste buds were ruined long ago by tobacco use. I cannot distinguish all those nuances of which you speak, "fruitiness", "chocolaty", essences of this and that. I can however discern bitterness, sweetness, boldness, and aftertaste. That being said, I like the Honduran coffee very much. I would describe it as sweet, full-flavored, mild acidity, and clean finish. Roasting with electric contact roaster, 240 C degrees for 15 minutes, beans are dark chocolate brown and slightly oily-looking.

I've recently gotten in to cold brew, and have roasted approximately 10 different beans for brewing such. I came across this and bought 3 pounds. I'm really glad I did, because this is by far the best of all of them! This makes an amazing cold brew coffee! I roasted 226 grams (in my Gene Cafe) to FC (just prior to 2nd crack), and 226 grams to FC+ (just in to 2nd crack) and blended them together. It made the best cold brew I've had yet!

Delicious coldbrew! My girlfriend noted a strong hint of chocolate too. Strongly recommend, especially for cold aeropress!

Quite a pleasant smooth taste. I don't get much of the complexity that others mention, though - it's pleasant but a bit boring. Going a little bit into second crack with an SR540, used for espresso.

This is a complex bean that home roasters will find fun to experiment with. I was able to vary the temperature ramp up got some really distinct cupping notes. I have discovered several methods to bring the moisture out of the beans by degrees of temperature and duration and our beta testers were surprised that the same coffee beans could yield such different profiles
I believe the extreme higher altitude and alkalinity of the soil gives this bean its special flavors

Sweet taste with some fruitiness. The beans have defects. I have to remove some defective beans from every batch. Once I found a small rock. Otherwise, the coffee still tastes great.

Roasting with Gene Cafe, about 1 minute after first crack.
Bold and full bodied flavor. Not getting the fruitiness mentioned above, but it might need to rest a bit longer or I might need to roast darker. Bought a 3 lb bag to sample, and am back to get more.

I can see why this bean is rated the best for cold brew! It's AMAZING! Hot or cold, you cannot go wrong. I roasted half to medium, after first crack, and the other half to a dark. (240 C and then down to 200C after first crack). I preferred the medium roast, but still enjoyed the darker roast. Flavors were smooth and silky, bold and complex! It was such a nice bean to roast.

Really good at full city. A nice break from Ethiopian coffee

I love this coffee, I use it specifically for my cold brew concentrate. I’ve tried several others but this one is superior. Excellent cup or glass.
