These Costa Rican coffee beans come from one of the exceptional coffee farms in the Tarrazu region. You get a premium Tarrazu at a non-premium price from Hacienda La Minita.
This arabica bean is a classic Tarrazu exhibiting the fruity, nutty characteristics that make this region's coffees famous. Brightness, body, complexity, aroma and good balance are all clearly apparent. It has the classic piquant acidity and lively winey flavor expected of the region’s best coffees. El Conquistador is well balanced with notes of lush tropical fruit and bittersweet chocolate, and has a smooth pronounced body.

This is one of my favorites, smooth and mellow- good black or with cream! I really like the cloth sack they come in:-)

I've really been enjoying these beautiful beans. They're great in an espresso blend, which I use them for. I roast at a full city+ and I feel has it's full flavor potential at this roast. Balanced, clean, subtle citrus notes that brings out a great acidity and a sweet tropical fruit, berry-like aroma.

Like these beans. Bought a 3 pound supply, and I still have some left to roast. My most recent roast was about 45 seconds to a minute after the end of first crack. Just made some espresso with these beans, And it tasted fantastic! The acidity level was fairly low even for it being roasted for not very long, but you still get the fruit notes that are in the description.I get a initial flavor of a strong sweet cherry at the beginning.

I really love this one. It's well balanced and very flavorful. Just what I want in the early morning. I roasted between medium and full city and it smells so good as the hot water hits my French press.

Costa Rican Tarrazu beans are my go to bean for my normal daily coffee fix. I roast these beans to a medium roast and get a very smooth, silky cup of coffee. Occasionally I will do a light roast to get even more aroma from the bean.

I bought the El Conquistador to challenge our daily coffee (La Magnolia). El Con does not disappoint! It is everything I have come to expect and love about Costa Rican coffee at a remarkable price. We will be adding this one to our "regular" list!

A bit disappointed with this one. Expected more since the other costa rican coffee I have tried (la magnolia and Tarrazu) are so good. It is good but would not buy again and would stay with what I have bought before

I have been roasting for years and for me and my family this is fantastic. No bitter after taste and very smooth.

Good quality beans. Embodies all the flavors you would expect from this region. I think my roasting is the limiting factor with this bean. Chocolates, fruits and some vanilla is present. I think for the next batch a city to city + roast would be better. I think I got the first one a bit dark for this bean.

I am rather new to this, but I just wanted to say how I pleased I am with this bean. Roasted to a Full City + there is a pleasing straightforwardness with lots of fruit aromas. A pure pleasure to drink. Thanks for the great beans! You are very welcome; we are pleased you are pleasedRuss
