Romelia SHB EP comes from the cloudy region of the Palmichal rainforest. Bordering the historic and well-known coffee zone of Tarrazu, Mauel Rojas Arias pioneered coffee growing in the Palmichal region. Many farmers observed the success of Don Manuel had with coffee and converted their own sugar plantations into coffee farms. After Don Manuel's death, he left his farm to his sister, Romelia. Thanks to her strength and perseverance, Dona Romeila was able to sustain the quality of her farm. With this, the Beneficio Palmichal was founded in 1933, opening and revolutionizing the area for years to come.
