The best organic decaf I've tasted yet--and I'm new to home roasting, so the beans have to carry part of the load in producing flavors. :> I take it solidly into 2C after a quick ramp-up then extension of 1C (Behmor 1600+ AB). It's my Coffee Posse's favorite decaf. Impressions include Mozartkugeln (confection), Calimyrna fig syrup, spiced cocoa, and "that wood--what's it called, the dark blue-red one, the shavings come off crooked." Never figured out what that meant, but it should give a sense of how engaging/evocative this bean is, and not in a gimmicky way. Just nice and solid. It's also wonderful for half-caf. Right now I'm drinking it combined with the Brazil Daterra Sweet Blue RFA and it's a corker. The two together bring up the sweet-nut, spice, and cocoa notes of each...and in a slightly different way than separately. Thanks, CBC, for bringing such amazing quality to the reach of just regular people like us.
