Guatemala Dulce Leonarda Estate HHT

This has a sweet caramel flavor with some cocoa and floral notes, but warmer than most of what "floral" denotes. Think orchid rather than lavender. The mouthfeel is clean and almost crisply bright. Wonderful, interesting cup of coffee.

A sparkling, clean, lemon-orange brightness with chocolate and nutty overtones that carry through to the long, complex finish.
Excellent body, deep, rich. complex and bright. Fruity (currants and plums) overtones with a nice chocolate background, just a hint of earthiness and a long, satisfying finish.
Dark chocolate, pear, caramel, and honey flavors. Balanced, mildly sweet.

Just roasted it yesterday, and it's the quintessential, excellent Huehue. There's a complexity that's not quite spice but a gentle earthiness. Yes, it's sweet, nutty, good brightness for structure and for mouthfeel that's similar to a chardonnay. Because it's earthy I wouldn't describe it as a "clean cup," but it's not funky at all, so that's not a defect. I did 9 and 10.5 minute roasts and the longer one brought out more complexity. Both were taken through 1C. The first was dropped at 424 and the second at 418°F.
