Considering their low price, and when you can find them in stock, these beans are great for practicing roasting profiles and/or seasoning your roaster. The batch I had also tasted pretty good. The price recently went up from $1/lb. to $2/lb. But that's still much better than using more expensive beans for that purpose.

Bought this for a roasting party, my friends were surprised at how easy it is to roast your own! These seasoning beans also makes for a great campfire coffee! In other words, I roasted them in a cast iron kettle over hickory. Was delicious! I will definitely get more when they become available!

Bought Seasoning beans because they were cheap only to discover I can roast up a nice brew with them. I knew my roast would be hard to control with varied beans so I decided to take the roast slightly darker to get the most homogeneous roast possible. Turns out it worked.

I'm new to roasting coffee and I bought three pounds of these seasoning beans to practice with so if I burned up a batch or two I could do it with cheaper beans. However, these beans actually made a quite good cup of coffee.

Maybe it's my lack of class or blissful ignorance. Either way, I find that roasting this "mega blend" to just short of a French roast, produces a great cup of coffee. I use the Clever Dripper and pour my water at around 205 degrees.

The seasoning beans did exactly what I wanted they seasoned my Hive roaster and allowed me to learn more about roasting since I am a novice.

Pleasantly surprised. Inexpensive doesn't mean bad quality. Yes there is a mix of differing beans that roast unevenly but if roasted to second crack, some of the uniformity issue is somewhat eliminated. Good enough for my palate at least. In fact it was good enough for me to buy a second time.

Ha! You said it best--"An adventure in every cup!" Very pleasantly surprised to get a more-than-decent cup of coffee while experimenting. I don't really want to learn on expensive beans. (I winked twice and scratched my nose while my "medium roast" turned to "French Roast.") Thanks for these.

I still consider myself a newbie roaster, but when u find something that keeps giving you a great cup of coffee, why change. As others have said, we are not coffee connoisseurs but we enjoy this coffee and the price.
