Colombian Supremo Bucaramanga

Starting at $6.00 / lb
As low as $4.25 / lb

We have raved about Bucaramanga coffees for some time now. And for a good reason. The variety of the crops is clearly differentiated, and they are excellent across the board.

Bucaramanga is from the eastern region of the country close to Bogata, but more peaceful than that infamous city. The region produces a number of good coffees known for having a soft bean comparable to Sumatran coffees only not so bright. There are earthy notes, but the first impression is a heavy body and low acidity. The flavor of this year's crop is nutty (Brazil, almond) with notes of floral breezes but the dominant impression is balance. It is not enough to note on the matrix, but there is a winey quality to this region that is present and prized, but hardly noticeable in this crop.

This coffee is a little more delicate than other Colombians, so be careful not to burn it.

Brilliant acidity, a medium body, and sweet flavors of orange citrus, caramelized sugar, and fine chocolate. It is impeccably balanced with a long, satisfying finish
A sparkling, clean, lemon-orange brightness with chocolate and nutty overtones that carry through to the long, complex finish.
Excellent body, deep, rich. complex and bright. Fruity (currants and plums) overtones with a nice chocolate background, just a hint of earthiness and a long, satisfying finish.

This to me is the classic taste I am looking for. I've tried several types and while all are good, if someone told me I could only drink one type for the rest of my years this would be my pick. Roasted just into the second crack for about 10-15 seconds being careful not to burn. Beans were a nice even dark brown and at first I thought I should have gone further... but no.. it turned out to be a perfect brew. I'm ordering more today. Charles, This is my wife's favorite so we will always have it in stock! Thanks for your business! John

I am a "newbie" at coffee roasting and up until this one, I was wandering around "green coffee bean land" (pre-Coffee Bean Corral) fairly disappointed. This was the one that changed all that. This is a GREAT cup of coffee and will remain a staple for me while I do some more experimenting. Full bodied, chocolaty and slightly sweet.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Home Coffee Roasting...Coffee Bean Corral style. Now that you have a good "everyday coffee", the fun begins (experimenting with other coffees) whenever you feel the urge. Thanks,
