These small peaberry beans are filled with aromatic and flavor of fruit, molasses and caramel. An extremely harmonious coffee with pronounced sweetness in the aftertaste. An ideal drip coffee and espresso component. Try a medium/medium dark roast for an enhanced flavor that brings out its distinctive nuttiness with a hint of soft fruit with low acidity.
Daterra Estate is one of the world-famous farms in Brazil where the coffee is produced with an inspiring commitment to both quality and sustainability. All Daterra Farms coffees have been Rainforest Alliance certified since 2003.
Cupping Notes: Fruity, molasses, and caramel with a nice, sweet aftertaste.
Try before you stock up with a 1/2 pound sample!

Amazing is all I can say. Ordered 3 lbs based on the description in the email - "guests come back and request THIS particular coffee" was what got me. Ordered 10 lb more after drinking a couple of pounds. Thinking about ordering another 10 lbs! Easily in my top 5 coffees ever. I think it is also very forgiving on roast profile. It tastes good dark, it tastes good light. It tastes good with a fast roast and it tastes good with a slow roast. So, hard to mess it up - which I think is a huge deal. (I think many coffees can be somewhat mediocre to amazing, depending on hitting its best roast, which makes it challenging to find and reproduce that one profile that was amazing.) I'd pick this over Kona, over Africans, over Costa Ricans, over Blue Mountain types... I think I like this best on my Hottop K2+ at the 'default' 408°F target temp and the default 18:00 roast time.

This is a very nice coffee that gets better as you drink it. As it cools the flavor intensifies and the fruitiness come thru. Enjoyable to the last drop. Glad I got 3 pounds.

Blending it with the Tanzania - a tasty cup for sure !

Very good bean no matter how you roast it. Light, medium, or dark, it will give you a very tasteful cup. My first roast I was experiencing equipment difficulties and I thought that it would be ruined. Tried it out and to my surprise, it was a very good coffee. It's hard to go wrong with this bean.

So good I ordered 10 lbs more! Excellent berry roasted to medium/dark. One of the best that Brazil has to offer.

Very good. Would buy again.

So, I did a medium dark roast on this coffee and it was smooth and well balanced. The acidity was very much muted, and a wonderful caramel note was harmoniously coming forward accompanied by a delicious cardamom note that felt subdued in coating my mouth in a buttery feeling that left me thinking about how beautiful Brazil must be. I think a said enough about it. I love this coffee!!!

I believe this is the best coffee I have ever had. Every sip made me think"this is great coffee". I roasted it to 2nd crack and raised the oil on the bean. If i had the funds, I'd buy 1000#'s. Unbelievable bean. I will be buying more.

Very nutty and aromatic. Just reordered again.

Not being an actual coffee "aficionado", I can't describe the flavor of the coffee very well, but i was looking for a bean with a nutty taste and light acidity. I roasted the bean to fairly dark, when the surface starts to shine from the oil. The result was a pleasingly heavy flavor with very low bite, which I assume is low acidity. I have never tasked coffee like this, and I am very pleased to add it to my repertory.

Such a smooth bean. Excellent tasting and medium body. I will buy this again.
by RLBrooks on July 16, 2020
I agree with the other reviews about the very fast roasting time, low volume first crack, and floral notes. I don't think smooth is a word I'd use though. It's good coffee, but seems pretty bright with lesser body to my untrained tongue than I expected from the description and reviews. I like it, but may use it to blend with a heavier-bodied bean to achieve more balance.

I am pretty new to roasting but this was an fantastic cup of coffee. I am super picky and endure the negative aspects in most cups of coffee I drink. This didn't have any for me! Sadly, I didn't keep roaster notes but I will definitely order again.

Not a very good taste. I tried different roasts and still yuk. Maybe I am not the expert that all the other reviewers are but to me this was not good and I threw away the last 1/3 of the bag.

I roasted this medium dark and found it to be absolutely wonderful with a bit more character than the Daterra Blue or Yellow varieties. A wonderful cup of coffee. One of my favorites

Beginner roaster, using Whirly-Pop popcorn maker. Coffee lover. Have tried 6 coffees to date. Roasted this to a med-dark roast (I think 🤔). Absolutely loved it. We are all, along with what we like are different, but this coffee spoke to me. The flavor was that good. Will be buying again

All I can say is keep this in stock forever!

Smooth, smooth, smooth. Did I say smooth? Very nice light floral nutty notes, but only for the City and Full City roasts. Half-City roast just did not have enough punch and was a little too earthy for my tastes. The medium roasts were some of the finest cups I have ever brewed. Have enjoyed these so much, I haven’t done the darker roasts yet. This peaberry roasts about 30% faster on my roaster with the first crack barely perceptible. Low-chaff feature is very nice. Overall an outstanding bean.
by robert on January 22, 2019
My real complaint is almost an inaudible 1st crack. Never really experienced such a muffled first crack.
by Bryanlbby on December 7, 2018
Has a real great taste and smell if you can get it to the right roast time.
by robert on December 6, 2018
this is the 3rd order of this coffee and I love it!
by Kevin Kamberg on July 21, 2018
Really, really good coffee. A little bit weird to roast in my Behmor because I didnt hear 1st crack at all. But oh boy did it deliver @ FC/FC+. Spicy with a sweet, pronounced nuttiness. Wow!

New roasters here, this bean was very nice to roast, sweet aromas coming off around 1st crack. Very little chaff, really enjoyed this cherry...And CBC is great, fast response, order fill and shipment. Cheers CBC from Ventura CA...
