The beans are smaller than a lot of other coffees we've tried. This was a little fruitier than we like but it worked excellent in a blend. The blueberry taste is no joke with this one, it's almost overwhelming when you are used to the chocolate you get from other beans, but we also prefer a lighter roast so that might have had something to do with it. If you've never had this bean before, I would advise getting a sample before committing to a larger order to see how it goes, it's way fruity which is a nice undertone for a blend but a little overwhelming for us as a stand alone. The chaff is a little more stubborn to remove as well, especially with the lighter roast, we winnow our beans in a large stainless steel bowl and you really had to work this over to get the chaff off of it. Not a bad coffee, but it is different so be ready for that.

I've always been a dark coffee lover, but I roasted this light and it has changed my mind about light coffees. This has an amazing flavor! Will buy again for sure!!!

This Ethiopian has a unique flavor profile...it is very chocolaty and has a robust flavor of blueberry. I love this coffee. I roast to a city plus about 1:30 into first crack and it comes out perfect every time!

Years ago when I was working in Saudi Arabia, this was a favored bean of the locals. Saw the listing on Coffee Bean Corral and purchased 5 lbs. I roast it to full city and mix it with Sumatra Mandheling decaf also at full city
(the Ethiopian bean takes more heat) for a half caf brew . I use an espresso grind and run it threw my Bambino doing three pulls on a puck. It gets rave reviews!

It’s good, interesting notes like tea, but creamy and dried fruits, some honey and brown sugar, caramel and nothing of blueberry probably I’ll order more

Absolutely wonderful coffee when you get the roast dialed in. That is easier said than done if using a air roaster. The 1st batch is spread in the driveway because my go to program for Africans was WAY to hot and long. As said above, slowly go past 1st crack and stop around a 60 on the color track for perfection. Extremely smooth, sweet molasses with lots of fruity notes. Definitely on of my favorites now.
